Time Management

List of 10 rules for Social, Domestic & Design Practise that will help me become a more organised and better designer

Social

Skating is my main love in life and nothing hurts more than being in the studios during a lovely day. The only times I can skate is going to be Tuesday night and the weekends. The rest of the time MUST be dedicated to my Practise.

Make sure I dedicate most afternoon past 4 o'clock the studio instead of leaving and doing nothing at halls or socialising.

Past 7pm is time to eat dinner, do housework, clean up and if I please socialise.

Make use of my free time and got to gallery's or watching inspirational movies that might enhance my mind. This way I can work and socialise at the same time.

Work had during the week and have the weekends to relax and reflect and what I have done and what work I still need to do.

ENSURE facebook is not on because that distracts me massively.

Treat my time to eat as my time to eat. Don't get caught up talking and sitting on the sofas outside the studios.

Find out when housemates are cooking their food on average everyday as I spent a while waiting for them to finish.

Make sure I spend my money wisely during the week so I have enough to enjoy myself at weekends.

Try to make the most out of the weekend by waking up earlier. Do more during the day and don't depend on only living during the night.

Domestic

Always clean plates after use. Too many times I have left my dirty plates and pans to the side till the food has dried and its a nightmare to clean. This is also very time consuming.

Make sure that when my room is clean I keep it that way. Its a hassle when it gets messy regally and I have to tidy it up every night.

Make sure I have planned the next day and have everything organised to leave the flat without feeling rushed.

Wait till wash load is massive and to it all in one go. Plan what to do while I wait for the clothes to wash.

Be in bed before the next day arrives, I have a habbit on staying up very late every night and it makes mornings hard and un-proactive.

Come up with a daily spending plan to control my money.

Always make sure that desk is tidy, makes me and my work more organised.

Take the rubbish out so that it doesn't get to messy and piled up.

Stock up and make sure I have bin bags, washing up liquid etc so that when I need to do domestic activities have have the necessary equipment to do them.

Clean kitchen once a week. (weekends Sunday night)

Practise

My I-pod is what keeps me and the noise and temptations to mingle apart. Listen to good music and get on with it.

Everyday look at my to do list and then write on paper what I am going to do for that particular day.

Make a packed lunch everyday to save time and money to print in the print rooms.

Be on time to college and respect to hours given up for my pratise

Keep my draw and work sheets organised so I know where to find stuff when needed.

Arrive at college earlier than 9.15 everyday.

Eat a good breakfast and drink a good cup of coffee to start my day properly.

Make sure that my to do list for the day is done before leaving college.

Take a good break at least once a day to rest my mind.

No working at home unless it's urgent.

Use the available hour the college is given me and make that an advantage.
